75 and 90 Ball Games
When you click into any of the bingo lounges at ME Bingo the first thing that happens is that the G2 software platform that runs the bingo software connects you to all the other players. Once the page has loaded you will see the main playing area on the right hand side with an initial 12 bingo cards on display. Set over this is the buying area. Simply choose how many cards you want to play at any one time and buy them. A clock at the top of the screen will tell you how long is left until that game starts. Depending on the type of game, the cost of the tickets and amount that can be won will alter accordingly.
The jackpots are really very high – this is because you are playing against other players from all over the world, and as such the prizes are pooled from everyone’s deposits. Playing at night or the weekends when there are more players online means much higher jackpots, although it also means many more players to play against!
Once the game starts the clock is replaced and the selected balls are displayed at the top of the screen. You don’t need to worry about marking off the numbers – the software does this for you (and you would make a mess of your screen if you used a marker pen!). On the left hand side of each card the software tells you how many balls you need to win, and you can see on your cards how many balls have already been pulled and which number you need. It really does get exciting when you only need one more number to win a prize!
On the left hand side of the screen is a list that tells you which players are nearing a win. This is constantly updated as the game plays, so you can see who you are in competition against for that win. Under this is the chat area, where you can have conversations with other players.
Online bingo communities are very friendly places on the whole and are strictly moderated to make sure that everyone gets on. You’ll find that the more you play, the more friends that you will make – sometimes the friendships that are built up on the forums are more important than winning the games (but not always!).
There is also what are known as ‘mini games’ on the screen. These are placed above the chatroom and below the game information.
